Background
Currently specializing in technical writing, especially in aviation, software and Internet.
My technical writing began in 1985 with two software manuals (Turbo Pascal and Electric
Desk), as well as a regular PC magazine column. I also wrote a software application that
was sold by Software Express/Direct.
Next, came two editions of "The Weather Sourcebook," published by Globe-Pequot. I then
wrote three Internet books, published by McGraw-Hill (see the My Library link). Then I
founded my own publishing company, which sold 10 million copies of approximately a
hundred different books. I also ghost-wrote four business books for various industry leaders.
During this time I created a weekly Sunday newspaper comic strip, entitled “Family PC Fun,”
which ran for eight years.
As a pilot, I currently fly general aviation, having owned two aircraft. I hold an ATP for ASEL and MSEL, plus CFI, CFII, and MEI and am
current on all ratings. Previously, I flew corporate jets, flew VIPs in the U.S. Air Force with the Presidential Wing at Andrews AFB in DC, and
flew Boeing aircraft with Eastern Air Lines. I also wrote the official FAA flight manual for the DC-8 aircraft flown by DHL.
